Revitalizing Mont-Saint-Pierre
Place du village
Place du Village is a key feature of Station de montagne sur mer. It’s a bit like the town centre. This welcoming square, where you’ll find Terrasse les Vagues, is also a great place to strike a conversation with the locals or grab a bite to eat. Make sure to visit the kiosks, providing products and services for visitors, as well as the historical fishing shed.
Salle du Clocher and the show À vol d’oiseau, un voyage immersif
Because in Mont-Saint-Pierre, hang gliding is practically a religion. The church was repurposed into a place specifically dedicated to hang gliding, giving it a new lease of life. Through this sensory experience, you’ll learn more about each type of wind and the history of hang gliding. Take to the skies through the eyes and words of pilots, with a thrilling show called À vol d’oiseau, un voyage immersif.
Observation Deck and the show Odyssée, la face cachée du mont Saint-Pierre
This is where it all makes sense. The famous summit of Mont Saint-Pierre is home to a unique observation deck that features an immersive show called Odyssée, la face cachée du mont Saint-Pierre, as well as nature observation experiences that tell the phenomenal geological story of Mont Saint-Pierre’s unique valley.
This year-round site also offers spectacular views of the Chic-Chocs, the Mont-Saint-Pierre glacial valley and the St. Lawrence River.
The Beach
The beach at Mont-Saint-Pierre is undoubtedly one of the valley’s most attractive and easily accessible natural features. Thanks to the strong commitment of the municipality and the Coopérative, we have turned it into a welcoming, family-friendly place for residents and visitors alike. You’ll find an outdoor stage, beach games (chess, pétanque, tic-tac-toe), hammocks, swings and picnic tables, so everyone can have fun.
Outdoor offerings and active mobility plan
The Mont-Saint-Pierre valley has great outdoor potential. Station de montagne sur mer has upgraded its hiking trails to develop and position Mont-Saint-Pierre as an all-season outdoor destination with hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, spectacular observation sites and access to Mont Jacques-Cartier. To encourage visitors to use public transport to get to the summit of Mont Saint-Pierre and elsewhere, a shuttle service from Place du Village has been set up.
